ENGINEERING QA / QC
To ensure outstanding quality at all steps within a project, PEHTC, builds quality assurance and quality control into a project with these activities:
- Staffing – includes the most qualified staff as part of a project’s human resources
- Concept peer review – reviews design concepts with senior-level designers & engineers for such issues as constructibility, alternative solutions, & analysis methods
- Document checks – prior to their final release, reviews drawings, calculations, & reports for accuracy & completeness
- Mentoring – assigns mentors at the beginning of the project to provide a critical link & critical answers to the project team
- Independent project review – expects the continuous improvement team to perform project reviews at 30%, 60%, & 90% of project completion to assure that progress and quality are on-track
