Our History
PEHTC, began modestly in Alberto Mendez’s garage in 1980. Paul Ewart Hi-Tech Company now operates its headquarters out of Dayton, Ohio and 4 regional offices across the United States.
PEHTC is a family-run business with Alberto Mendez, Sr. serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Alberto is joined by two of his dynamic children, Julie and Alberto Jr. each who serve in leadership roles.
As an independently held organization, the hallmarks of Paul Ewart Hi-Tech Company are trust and loyalty. Most PEHTC, employees have been with the company for more than 10 years with most engineers and designers averaging more than 20 years of experience.
COMPREHENSIVE EXPERIENCE
Our engineering team integrates a qualified group of registered professional engineers. Registrations are held with the states of Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia, and others. Our top cities include Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, and Omaha.
We are familiar with the current International Building Code (IBC) requirements, as well as provisions of earlier versions and model building codes. Our engineers take an active participation in their fields of expertise, maintaining affiliations in various professional and technical societies. We endeavor to provide our clients with innovative, safe, cost effective and quick to build solutions to their problems. We do that by staying current with the guidelines and/or requirements of ASCE7, AISC, ACI, AITC, ETC, and the codes of standard practice and recommended procedures of PCI and CRSI. We employ our knowledge and experience to tackle the analysis & design of deep and shallow foundation systems, and structures using steel, concrete, masonry, and timber. The staff has engineers fluent in several foreign languages including French, Spanish, Russian, and Arabic.
Industrial projects have included ag-processing and food processing plants, truck assembly plants, bulk material handling plants, automobile parts manufacturing facilities, ethanol production facilities, salt processing and pelletizing facilities, plastics and composites extrusion and pelletizing facilities. Our commercial projects have included hotels, R & D lab and office spaces, etc.
